Snowcones (Uintas)

It had been a freezing cloud for three days, visibility was at 20 feet and we had slowly made it to this ridge at 10,000ft and the clouds lifted and everything clearedand the sun popped.   There, in front of us were freshly minted snowcone pines, it was sooo beautiful!  These trees survive in harsh battering conditions, short breaks for quick summers and lots of punishing wind.  Look at their bent trunks, they are quite inspiring.  Uinta Mountains, Utah.
